Mission The Mission of Worldwide Marriage Encounter is to proclaim the value of Marriage and Holy Orders in the Church and in the world.
North American Military Services Outreach (NAMSO) ForYourMilitaryMarriage.com, is an initiative of Worldwide Marriage Encounter to enrich, affirm and encouragemilitary married couples in their relationships and families, and to offer the resources and support of an online network of Catholic military married couples for every age and every stage of married life.
Our History 2001-2018 The North American Military Services Outreach (NAMSO) began in 2001, when Bishop Jack Kaising of the Archdiocese of Military Services (AMS) approached WWME to consider an outreach to married military couples. In the next year, WWME developed the outreach and appointed Dave and Lucy Snyder, leaders in the WWME movement and an experienced military couple (Dave is retired from the US Army), to coordinate with Bishop Kaising. Since that time, the outreach has included many initiatives to promote marriage enrichment opportunities. In 2016, the outreach expanded to include the Canadian military services. NAMSO reaches Catholic/Christian military couples with opportunities for marriage enrichment programs at military installations throughout North America. In addition, the outreach is committed to creating a network for military couples and chaplains with information about WWME experiences, a blog to provide positive reinforcement, and networking via the internet to other marriage support resources.
Worldwide Marriage Encounter is faithful to the Roman Catholic Church's teaching that marriage is a covenant that exists between one man and one woman. Any reference to marriage or couple made by Worldwide Marriage Encounter is in this context.
