Meet Our Team

These volunteer couples serve in the NAMSO ministry to support other military couples in the lifelong journey through the Sacrament of marriage.

Dave & Lucy

Picture
Married in January 1967, at Ft. Lee, Virginia.  Dave served 24 years as an Army officer and Lucy is an Army “brat” from birth.  With their three children the Snyders traveled throughout the U.S. and overseas with the military, and credit their long lasting, happy marriage to their involvement with other couples and chaplains in their local Chapels wherever they served.  Dave and Lucy attended a Worldwide Marriage Encounter (WWME) Weekend when they were married 10 years and have been in ministry to Catholic couples since then.  They currently serve as the Coordinators for the WWME North American Military Services Outreach (NAMSO) and believe passionately in enrichment for all active duty and retired military couples and priests.

Larry & Kathy

Picture
Both military "brats" growing up in the Coast Guard and Navy, Larry and Kathy were married at the chapel in Key West and lived the first 20 years of their marriage as a Coast Guard family with their four sons. A year after retirement they attended a Worldwide Marriage Encounter Weekend and have been a presenting team for 30 years now! They live in St Petersburg, Florida and have presented weekends there as well as in Louisiana, Virginia, Bahamas, etc.  Larry and Kathy have also facilitated marriage enrichments throughout the southeast. They have a strong love for marriage and the military and are happy to be part of the NAMSO.

Paul & Cindy

Picture
Married in 1990, Paul and Cindy Benfanti both served as physicians in the U.S. Army and were stationed to several military bases, including Paul’s deployment to Iraq.  After retirement in 2011, the Benfanti’s moved to St. Petersburg, FL and attended a WWME Weekend in 2016.  Paul and Cindy are involved as a Presenting Team for WWME and are 2018 graduates of the St. Petersburg Diocese Lay Pastoral Ministry Institute.  As a part of the Core Team of NAMSO, Paul and Cindy are committed to enrichment to promote the healthy, happy marriages of Catholic couples, especially those who are military related.

George & Ronnie

Terry & Laura

Fr. Camillus Gott

Picture
Married four months after George was commissioned in the U.S. Army in 1964 and moved directly to their first assignment at Ft. Bliss, TX. As newlyweds, George and Ronnie found their “military family” in the chapel parishes wherever they were assigned.  After a WWME Weekend in 1972 they served the movement as a Presenting Team and are a part of the Core Team of NAMSO. The Sorrentinos’ are currently residing in Virginia Beach, VA where they continue in their WWME ministry as Spiritual Coordinators. George and Ronnie are actively involved with their local parish which has many military families both Active and retired. They regularly attend Mass mid-week at local Military Chapels.

Started their journey as a military couple in l974 when Terry joined the Army JAG corps.  The Lewis’ became active in Catholic Chapel programs from the beginning of their 12 years of active duty.  In 1973 Terry and Laura attended a WWME Weekend and have served couples and priests through the WWME Movement since that time, including Presenting Team and as members of the NAMSO Core Team.  Terry and Laura are still involved in the military as the parents of Sean and his wife Gina who are a Navy family. The Lewis’ consider their enrichment work with couples as their highest priority.

Chaplain (COL) Camillus Gott ordained as a Conv. Franciscan in 1960 and began his service in the U.S. Army in 1964.  Then in 1975, Fr. Camillus attended a WWME Weekend, which he often says changed his life and his priesthood.  He was stationed at several military bases and after his retirement from the military returned to his order.  Fr. Camillus is a Presenting Priest for WWME and is part of the Coordinating Team of NAMSO with the Snyders.  As a chaplain for 33 years, Fr. Camillus credits his happy priesthood to the close relationships created as a result of his Weekend and serving military couples through his chaplaincy.  He believes that every military couple and priest deserve the enrichment offered by WWME.
